Country trails: series 2: 32. The River Tweed

Joe Crowley then a trip along the River Tweed, follows the path return salmon of Berwick-upon-Tweed to Selkirk, the Scottish side of the border.

Joe Crowley then a trip along the River Tweed, following the path of the returning salmon. Joe starts just upstream from Berwick-upon-Tweed where he joined a salmon team to probe their number of marking.

In Kelso, Joe tries his hand to speycasting, a form of the fly fishing specialist, prior to Philiphaugh. Here, it tests the biodiversity of the Tweed by a method known as sampling the kick and catch with the salmon as they jump upstream.

Joe finishes its trip to Selkirk, the Scottish side of the border, the site of a decisive battle in the wars of the three kingdoms.
